  • The concrete frame structure of our 400,000-square-feet GFA Landmark On Robson development in Vancouver, Canada, was topped out in May. This project has two towers with 236 residential units, 50,000 square feet of retail and office space, and a four-level underground parking facility.
2019
  • The Hotel Group is proud to receive the 10 Years Plus Caring Company recognition and has organized a series of programmes to celebrate its 10-year partnership with SAHK, the NGO partner.
2018
  • Adjoining the Empire Hotel Kowloon, Empire Prestige Tsim Sha Tsui, a new addition to the Hotel Group has been unveiled since November providing an urban abode boasting a contemporary décor and accentuating the concepts, conveniences and comforts of modern travels for leisure travellers' nowadays needs.
2017
  • Our Empire Landmark Hotel on Robson Street has officially closed on September 30th 2017 after more than 20 years of successful operation, accommodating over 2.5 million visitors to Vancouver. The site will be redeveloped into a mixed-use, primary high-end residential landmark for sale.
2016
  • A new hotel brand, Empire Prestige embodies all the sophistication of a boutique hotel has been launched in Causeway Bay in October to satisfy the discerning taste and need for quality hotel services of today's leisure travelers.
2013
2015
  • The Hotel Group has established consistent endeavors with its NGO partner to promote its CSR Community Care Programme to different levels, new and wider audiences and areas so as to benefit more people in need as well as to support social inclusion. The efforts the Hotel Group made has sustained the 'Caring Company' title and awarded the 5 Years Plus recognition in 2014.
2012
  • Being awarded the 'Caring Company' title, the Hotel Group has continuously given support to local children and youth with special needs in their education and rehabilitation through the creation of relevant learning programmes for a fourth year.
  • Sky Pool in Empire Hotel Hong Kong • Wan Chai was renovated and fitted with timber decked flooring in a sub-tropical characteristic.
  • Acquired two sites which sit adjacent to the Group's two existing hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay, respectively, for redevelopment into hotels with a total of 184 guest rooms.

  • The receipt of ‘Caring Company’ award for a third year.
2010
  • Life Spa at Empire Hotel Hong Kong • Causeway Bay was introduced as a new sparadise offering innovative spa services to guests for relaxation for free, in March.
  • The receipt of ‘Caring Company’ award for a second year in a row.
  • A new grand lobby was created in contemporary and elegant design at Empire Hotel Hong Kong • Wan Chai in September.
2009
  • A new, chic and hip Empire Hotel Hong Kong • Causeway Bay soft opened in April.
  • Empire Grand Room, a brand new meeting venue in Empire Hotel Hong Kong • Wan Chai was opened in May.
  • Empire Club Lounge was made available to premium guests and business travelers in Empire Hotel Hong Kong • Wan Chai in May.
  • Added 28 new rooms to Empire Hotel Kowloon • Tsim Sha Tsui in February.
  • JBC Travel celebrates its 30th anniversary.
  • Being awarded ‘Caring Company’ on the merits of a CSR programme entitled ‘The Art of Caring’ implemented in all three Empire Hotels in Hong Kong.
2008
  • In December, The Empire Hotels & Resorts group unveiled a new logo image embodying an image of a lush tea bush and a worldwide social etiquette – serving tea to guests when they come to visit.
2007
  • Acquired an office building at Wing Hing Street, Causeway Bay for converting into a 5 star boutique Hotel with 280 rooms.
2002
  • Acquired a franchised restaurants in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
2001
  • Empire Hotel Kowloon • Tsim Sha Tsui, a 315-room new hotel at the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, was completed and commenced operation.
  • Acquired a renowned travel agency, JBC Travel, a major air-ticket wholesale distributor in Hong Kong, complimenting the hotel business.
2000
  • Spun off the hotel operation into a separately listed company, Asia Standard Hotel Group Limited (code:292), in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
1997
  • Acquired the Landmark Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. The hotel has 358 rooms, three food and beverage outlets and a large convention hall.
1994
  • Started Hotel Business after acquiring a 323-room Empire Hong Kong Hotel (then known as Evergreen Plaza Hotel) in Wanchai, Hong Kong.
